One of the questions every developer has when launching an App is: How long will it take me to position a mobile application in the App market? Today we will focus on a Google Play case.

The answer isn’t simple, as it depends on a variety of factors, and just as with SEO or web page positioning, it requires a certain amount of waiting time once the appropriate actions have been followed, however, app positioning fluctuates much more frequently. This is a real advantage. But there’s more; if it’s worked well, we can see results within weeks.

By reviewing today some of the ASO testing we do to provide our customers with the best service, we found that an entirely new application, with only two months of age, in one of the most competitive niches, had risen from the 211th position to the 14th due to its specific keywords!

Many of you who have probably been trying for a while to position a mobile application in the market, know how hard it is to scale up in positions and, therefore, increase your number of downloads and revenues, but from ASO APP we want to encourage and tell you that it can be done, with a good ASO strategy and an appropriate optimization you can overcome Apps that have been out for much longer and a priori you can get better results in all ASO factors.

How can you achieve this? As we were saying, it’s not easy, but it’s doable. In this particular case, we selected an App for a highly competitive global market niche, i.e., a potentially downloadable app for any country. This is obviously harder. However, within a few days after launching the App, with a truly optimal prior ASO study, the App was already positioned within the 250 first places that exist due to keywords in Google Play. Once this was achieved, by knowing that it’s the keywords “meditation music” that will accrue a lot of downloads, we worked on them, but without excluding others, in fact App market positioning is always about joint sets, one can’t climb a lot in positions for some words without doing it for others. This is a joint action. And so, after a few weeks of work and some others ones of waiting and analyzing results, we can now see how the App is about to be at the TOP in ranking for its niche and due to the desired keywords.

What does this bring? Simple, an exponential increase in the number of downloads, and if it’s a well-liked App, an exponential increase in the number of users who keep the App installed, and ultimately, revenues will soar.

We can see that with a few hours of good work we have achieved an excellent growth for an App that is barely two months old, without advertisements, all thanks to using ASO techniques. ASO is vitally important for Apps!
